Rusted lug nuts, a seized wheel, a jack that won't fit, or a spare buried under a loaded trunk turn a simple swap into a real problem, especially on a hot shoulder with cars going by. Changing a tire next to live highway traffic is genuinely dangerous, and a wheel that isn't torqued correctly can come loose down the road. Having it done right gets you out of harm's way and back on safe rubber, and a quick look at your other tires can catch the next flat before it happens.
